Breast cancerrates in women under the age of 40 are rising across the united states — and in some regions surging 32%.
Researchers fromColumbia University’s Mailman School of Public Healthlooked at data from all 50 states and found that overall,breast cancerin women under 40 is on the rise — and it’s worse in the Northeast, which “had the highest absolute rate of BC among women under 40 and experienced a significant increase” between 2001 and 2020.

The call came through Ottowa County Central Dispatch at 8:58 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
William and Donna Kitzmiller – both 80 and of Grand Haven Charter Township, Mich. – died that day, according to theirjoint obituary, which called the couple who were married for 54 years “true partners in life.”
Serving in the U.S. Army, and, later working 30 years in law enforcement, Bill retired as a sergeant from the Grand Haven City Police Department.

A retired firefighter was left hospitalized and fighting for his life after contractingflesh-eating bacteriaon his butt.
On March 26, Simon English from Beverly, England, woke up with flu-like symptoms. He thought it was a bug from his wife, Kay, who works as a teaching assistant and had recently caught a cold.
“I just felt like I was coming down with a heavy cold,” the 55-year-old said, according to SWNS.

A retired New York City Police detective shot and killed his wife after an early morning argument on Wednesday, Oct. 16, before turning the gun on himself, according to police.
The Yonkers Police Department said ina statementthat retired NYPD detective Sean O’Neil, 54, shot himself in the head moments after shooting his wife Arlene O’Neil, 47, “several” times in her body while their three children were home.
