The investigation began over the weekend when police in the town of Irondequoit, N.Y., were notified that Richard Fluegel Sr., 60, had not returned home on Sunday, Dec. 8, according to astatementfrom the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Fluegel reportedly did not show up for a flight the next morning, per the statement.
On Monday, Irondequoit police and the Livingston County officials began investigating the matter.

A home invasion in an upscale Philadelphia suburb turned fatal over the weekend after a suspect broke into a home in Lower Merion Township at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, theMontgomery County District Attorney’s Office announcedon Monday.
The intruder fatally shot 25-year-old Andrew Gaudio “multiple times” and Bernadette Gaudio, 61, also suffered “several gunshot wounds,” though she was found “conscious” per the release.

The son of award-winning photographer Paul Lowe has been charged with his murder after he was assaulted on a hiking trail in California.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) confirmed deputies from San Dimas Station had responded to “an assault with a deadly weapon call for service on Mount Baldy Road, near Stoddard Canyon Falls, in the San Gabriel Mountains,” per arelease.
