Bill GatesandMelinda French Gatesare officially grandparents!
Their eldest child,Jennifer, 28, and her husband,Nayel Nassar,welcomed their first child, Leila, in February 2023. The couple’s second child,Mia, arrived in October 2024.
In a video interview, Bill shared thathe plans to “create an adventure” for his grandchildren.
“The relationship of a grandparent to a child is a nice one because it’s kind of in addition to what they have with their parents,” he said.

“It wasn’t one moment or onespecific thing that happened. There just came a point in time where there was enough there that I realized it just wasn’t healthy, and I couldn’t trust what we had,” Melinda revealed toCBS Morningsin March 2022.
Throughout their 27-year union, the philanthropic couple welcomed three children together: daughtersJenniferandPhoebeand a son,Rory.

As Gates wrapped up promotion for his newmemoir,Source Code,on Tuesday, Feb. 11, he enjoyed a sweet moment with his girlfriend.
In an image exclusively shared with PEOPLE, the Microsoft co-founder, 69, smiles while cuddling up with Hurd outside the Curran Theatre in San Francisco.
Their conversation was also recorded for an episode of the actor’sArmchair Expertpodcast, although an air date has yet to be announced.
