Noah Scurry, a 17-year-old basketball star at his Philadelphia high school, died after he was shot on the way to school.
According toCBSandNBC Philadelphia, Scurry and his mother were on their way to Samuel Fels High School in Feltonville around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, when the athlete was shot multiple times on the 5000 block of Tacony Creek Park and Roosevelt Boulevard.

Two people, including a teenager, were killed and five others were injured after a mobile home collapsed just outside Angleton, Texas.
The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said onsocial mediathe “manufactured” home collapsed at around 5 p.m. local time on Sunday, Sept. 22, while it was “in the process of being leveled.”
Several members of the family who were “working on the home” reportedly were “trapped beneath the structure,” according to police.

A teen who died following a car crash in Massachusetts is being remembered as a “beautiful young girl” who “just lit up the place.”
The jaws of life were used to remove the Straub, who was unresponsive, from the car before she was airlifted to a hospital, according to police.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim,” Duxbury Police said.
