When she’s not acting,Busy Philippsis focused on being a mom to her two kids, Birdie and Cricket Silverstein, whom she shares with her ex-husband,Marc Silverstein.
The former couple — who announced their separation in 2022 — welcomed their first child, Birdie, in 2008. Their family grew again when Cricket was born in 2013.
Philipps has talked about trying to be “an incredibly communicative mom” even amidst her busy schedule.

A Michigan mother who abandoned her 1-year-old son in the Florida surf, leaving him partially buried in the wet sand with waves crashing over his head, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.In November 2024, Shamika Mitchell, 38, was convicted of unlawful desertion of a child and aggravated child abuse, according to the State’s Attorney for Florida’s 7th Circuit.On Thursday, Jan. 30, Mitchell was sentenced to 15 years in prison and then 15 years of probation, the State’s Attorney wrote in a release.

While at the Annika LPGA’s Women’s Leadership Summit, Clark opened up about her biggest fear, likely to the dismay of cat lovers everywhere. “I really don’t like cats,” the Indiana Fever star revealed, according toSports Illustrated.
