Caitlin Clarkhad a rookie season that will be remembered for ages, but her WNBA playoff debut on Sunday is a game she’d probably like to forget.
“[Carrington] got me pretty good in the eye; I don’t think it affected me,” Clark said, according to theAssociated Press, refusing to blame her relatively lackluster performance on the first quarter incident.

Caitlin Clarkis the 2024 WNBA rookie of the year!
The 22-year-old Indiana Fever star was announced as the winner of the coveted award on Thursday, Oct. 3 in a statement from the WNBA.
And to celebrate the big news, the Fever shared avideoof the moment when Clark — who wasselected first overall in April’s draft— learned she nabbed the honor.

Caitlin Clarkhas reportedly declined an offer from the NBA to participate in the upcoming All-Star Weekend showcase.
According toShams Charania of ESPN, Clark’s representatives at Excel Sports said the Indiana Fever star, 23, “will not participate in NBA All-Star special 3-point shootout in San Francisco” after rumors that the WNBA’s rookie of the year — who is renowned for her prowess with long-range shots — was invited to compete.

Caitlin Clark’s rookie season is over following the Indiana Fever’s first-round loss in the playoffs — and now the superstar is sharing her plans off the court.
During media availability after the team’s lossto the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Clark showed a sense of humor about her upcoming plans.
“I was focused on beating the Connecticut Sun, I haven’t thought too far down the line,” Clark, 22, said.
