Disney is firing back at a wrongful death lawsuit, hoping to get it dismissed because of the terms and conditions the plaintiff agreed to when signing up for Disney+ streaming service.
In February, Jeffrey Piccolo filed the $50,000 lawsuit against Disney after his wife Dr. Kanokporn Tangsuan, a physician at NYU Langone Hospital, died last year. Court documents claim Tangsuan suffered a fatal allergic reaction after eating at a Disney Springs restaurant.

Walt Disney Worldwill close amid Hurricane Milton.In a statement shared Tuesday afternoon, Disneyannouncedthat “on Wednesday, October 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM.“Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m., and the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.“It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10.

TheStar WarsGalactic Star Cruiser hotel is being repurposed more than a year after it made its last voyage.
The ambitious project, which was part hotel and part interactive role playing experience, opened in March 2022. However, after park-goer criticisms about the hefty price tag (starting at $4,800) and reports visitor interest in the two-day stay wasn’t what Disney had hoped,the company announced in May 2023 that it would closethat September.

Disney is planning to alter how it approaches content warnings presented in front of movies like 1941’sDumboand 1953’sPeter Pan.On Tuesday, Feb. 11,Axiosreported that Disney will remove the content advisory that runs ahead of some of its classic animated films on Disney+ that warns audiences the movie “includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of peoples or cultures” as part of a larger shift on its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in reaction to the Trump administration’s pressure on those programs across businesses.
