On his first day back in office, PresidentDonald Trumpfired thousands of federal employees.
In apost to Truth Socialjust after midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 21, the 47th president issued an official dismissal to four officials, with the promise of more removals soon.
“Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump began.

Georgia played a major role in each campaign’s 2024 Electoral College strategy after the state narrowly flipped blue in 2020 to help elect DemocratJoe Biden. Harris and Trump spent significant time courting Georgia voters this time around, with Trump appearing the slight favorite heading into Election Day.
