A Florida animal refuge is showing that “hope is always possible” when it comes to saving the lives of animals in need.
“Many were severely underweight, their ribs and hip bones protruding beneath dull, patchy coats,” Hood adds. “Clearly, they had not received proper care or consistent nutrition for a very long time. Several also showed signs of untreated medical conditions, and their coats were embedded with botfly eggs and hoof neglect.

Terry Bivens, Jr., 44, and his 5-year-old son Jackson Bivens died in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide in a Lutz, Fla., home,the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Officesaid in a statement.
The sheriff’s office confirmed the identities of the deceased to PEOPLE.
The investigation began on Friday, Nov. 29, when Jackson’s mother called the sheriff’s office, claiming she was not able to reach Terry and Jackson, per the statement.

Trooper has found his forever home!
The Florida dog,who was found tied to a fencein the middle of Hurricane Milton was adopted from the Leon County Humane Society, according to a post onFacebookfrom the shelter.
Since then, Trooper has been in the care of the local Humane Society, which shelters homeless pets until they can find informed and responsible adopters.

A Florida lawyer was arrested last month after allegedly assaulting another guest at a wedding — all over cutting in a buffet line.
Roher and the man in front of him began arguing, and the man then told police that he had “turned around to avoid further contact” in order to attempt to “remove himself from the situation,” per the report, according to the outlets.
