Mia Love, the first Black Republican woman elected to Congress, is no longer responding to treatment for an aggressive and malignant brain tumor known asglioblastoma, with which she was diagnosed in 2022.
The former Utah congresswoman, 49, whowas electedto serve the state’s fourth district in 2014, had shared her glioblastoma brain cancer diagnosis onCNNlast May, telling hostJake Tapperthat she was undergoing a clinical immunotherapy trial.

Shaneka and Tim Ruffin, the parentsformerly conjoined twins, have a lot to celebrate thisChristmasnow that their boys are home for the holidays with the rest of their Philadelphia family.
“I’m super excited,” Shaneka, a 34-year-old stay-at-home mom, tells PEOPLE. “We get to all spend [the holidays] together.”
Amari and Javar — who were born sharing the lowest part of their sternum, diaphragm, abdominal wall and liver —were separatedat Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) during an 8-hour surgery in August.
