When Anabel Segura was kidnapped in April 1993, police searched for over two and a half years, unaware she had been killed the same day she disappeared.
In September 1995, Muñoz and Ortiz were arrested and sentenced to 39 years in prison, later increased to 43. Ortiz died in prison in 2009, while Muñoz was released in November 2013 following changes to Spanish sentencing laws.

A 95-year-old grandmother’s remains have been found days after her home was destroyed in thedevastating Los Angeles wildfires.
On Sunday, Jan. 12, the coroner confirmed that Dalyce Curry’s remains had been discovered just before 6 p.m. local time that day days after the Eaton Fire destroyed her Altadena property, per local ABC affiliateKABC.
The victim’s granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, also confirmed onFacebookthat her “beloved grandmother,” also known as “Momma D,” had been found at the home.

As police took to social media for help finding Belva, they shared a photo of her car “headed East on Hwy 62 at the Bypass” at approximately 2 p.m. that day. “If any businesses have video cameras that capture Hwy 62 East out East past Walmart, please check this time frame for sightings. Any help would be appreciated,” they added.
In an update, they shared that they were able to confirm another sighting about 20 minutes later in Gepp.

A Calif. man has been arrested in connection with the death of his girlfriend who was found dead inside a trash can, according to authorities.
The Costa Mesa Police Department arrested 49-year-old Daniel Allen Aldrich, from Costa Mesa,on Tuesday, Oct. 22, they announced, in the death of his girlfriend, 38-year-old Julie Anne Sanetra from Irvine, who was found “in a trash can” located at his home in Costa Mesa.
