Jay Fisher, aJeopardy!Champions Wildcard Tournament player, took toRedditon Wednesday, Jan. 15, to share his mindset going into the day’s episode.
As fans may know, players in the Wildcard Tournament win when they obtain the highest cumulative dollar amount. This means losing points throughout the game can be detrimental to their overall succcess. However, according toJeopardy!’s website, “the top four non-winners with the highest money totals will advance to the semifinals as wildcards.

Mehal Shah appeared on theJan. 30 episodeof the game show’s Tournament of Champions, where, in the final round, he misspelled his otherwise correct answer. When hostKen Jenningssaid they couldn’t accept it with the missing letter, Shah was left speechless.
The clue from the “Latin Phrases” category read: “After Camillagate, a fire at Windsor Castle & marriage problems in her family, Queen Elizabeth II dubbed 1992 this.

On the Oct. 28 episode ofJeopardy!,Jennings gave a hint to an answer that offended some viewers — and a participant.
During the “Complete the Rhyming Phrase” category, the host read the clue, “Men seldom make passes at…” The answer: “Girls who wear glasses.”
After reading it, Jennings noted that it was “a little problematic” to say and proceeded to apologize to a contestant, health program director Heather Ryan, who was wearing glasses.
