A Tennessee man has been sentenced to life in prison forkilling his wife on their Fiji honeymoon, according to multiple reports.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Bradley Dawson appeared at the High Court in Lautoka, where he was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in prison before he can be considered for release following the July 9, 2022, murder of his wife Christe Chen, local outlets theFiji Timesand theFiji Broadcasting Corporation(FBC) reported.

A convicted murderer who escaped custody in North Carolina and fled more than 100 miles away has been captured, authorities announced, ending a three-day manhunt involving local and federal law enforcement agencies.
Ramone Alston, 30, was taken into custody without incident shortly before 2 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, at a hotel in Kannapolis, N.C., a Charlotte suburb, the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction said in apress release.

A Georgia man who was convicted of murdering his wife in front of his two children has been sentenced to life behind bars.
Jonathan Bates, who evaded authorities for 18 months following his wife’s 2017 killing, was sentenced to life in prison this week, according to theAtlanta Journal-Constitution.
Paulding County Chief Judge Tony Beavers previously threw out the original murder charge against Bates, only seeking to convict him of battery.
