A Brooklyn man who was convicted of a 2008 murder was exonerated after surveillance footage of the crime pointed to another suspect.
Arvel Marshall, 52, was sentenced to 25 years to life in 2009, after he was convicted of the July 15, 2008 murder of Moustapha Oumaria, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office says.
The conviction was vacated after the DA’s Conviction Review Unit determined that he was unjustly found guilty.

“Ford is a dangerous and manipulative sexual predator,”said Scottish Police Detective Inspector Steven Gray. “I hope that knowing he is now behind bars for his crimes helps them continue to move forward with their lives.”
Among Ford’s 19 convictions was one on a charge of “stealthing” — “defined as not using a protective condom without a partner’s knowledge or consent, which is rape,” according to the statement from prosecutors.
