According to apress releasefrom the North Yorkshire police in England, released Saturday, Jan. 11, officer Rosie Prior had stopped to assist a driver, Ryan Welford of Knaresborough, who had been involved in a collision in the North Yorkshire area.
The pair, who died at the scene, were standing together near a highway when a truck carrying heavy goods collided with them around 8:55 a.

In a statement, theLebanon Police Departmentconfirmed that both police and fire units “received an alarm from the Newborn Safety Incubator” at Fire Station 41 around 3:24 p.m. local time.
Once the child was taken to the hospital, “Warren County Children’s Services was notified,” according to the statement.
Police said that they do not have any further information regarding the discovery of the infant at this time.

An Ohio man was injured after allegedly drunkenly taking his young son for a driving lesson.
While his son was allegedly in the driver’s seat, Williams, who was “attempting to teach” him how to drive, allegedly “instructed” him “to press one of the pedals,” but the child “did not know which one that was,” and accidentally “placed the vehicle in reverse,” according to the affidavit.
