Raygun— the breaker (a.k.a. breakdancer) who went viral on social media for her unique dance moves at the2024 Paris Olympicsdebut of breaking as an event — has spoken out against her critics.
“I was never going to beat these girls on what they do best — their power moves,” Raygun said of her three competitors: Team USA’s b-girl Logistx, 21, France’s Syssy, 16, and Lithuania’s Nicka, 17.

Olympic champion equestrian Charlotte Dujardin has been banned from the sport for one year, months after she withdrew from the Paris Olympics after avideo surfaced that showed her whipping one of her horses.
The Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) handed down the ban on Thursday, Dec. 5,according to the BBC.
The 39-year-old British athlete and six-time Olympic medalist will be able to compete once again in July 2025, as the ban is backdated to July 2024 when she was provisionally banned.

Ethiopian runner Lamecha Girma was stretchered off the track during the Olympics men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase final at Stade de France on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
During the final lap, Girma, 23, who won silver in the event during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and holds the world record, tripped over seemingly the last hurdle during the finals race. As he approached and raised his left leg, he tipped the hurdle before falling to the ground and hitting the back of his head.
