Thecontendersat the upcoming 97th Academy Awards gathered for the annual tradition of the class photo, held on Tuesday, Feb. 25 — for the first time at Los Angeles’ Academy Museum.
The star-studded affair included lead acting Oscar nomineesCynthia Erivo(Wicked),Mikey Madison(Anora),Demi Moore(The Substance),Fernanda Torres(I’m Still Here),Adrien Brody(The Brutalist),Timothée Chalamet(A Complete Unknown),Colman Domingo(Sing Sing),Ralph Fiennes(Conclave) andSebastian Stan(The Apprentice) and supporting nomineesMonica BarbaroandEdward Norton(A Complete Unknown),Ariana Grande(Wicked),Felicity Jones(The Brutalist),Isabella Rossellini(Conclave),Zoe Sladaña(Emilia Pérez),Yura Borisov(Anora),Jeremy Strong(The Apprentice) and Guy Pearce (The Brutalist).
Of this year’s acting nominees, only Brody is a previous winner. Directors, writers, designers and technicians from this year’s 10 Best Picture nominees —Anora, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys, The SubstanceandWicked— and more also joined the photo.

Karla Sofía Gascón, thefirst openly transgender acting Oscar nomineeand star of Jacques Audiard’s nominations leaderEmilia Pérez, did not attend the event after the controversy surrounding her old social mediaposts.
