A Couple Divorced; After He Had a Child with Another Woman, They Got Back Together

A woman who divorced her husband and then got back together with him after he had a child with someone else is opening up about her unique relationship.

In a video shared onTikTok, user @georgia.lawrence_ explains that her husband had a child “while we were divorced,” adding, “Not during our marriage — after our divorce.”

“And I’m okay with that,” she adds. “I’m okay with it because we were divorced. He owed me nothing a that moment and that time.”

Still, she acknowledges that getting back with an ex — particularly one from whom you’ve legally separated — is rare.

“Usually when people divorce, they go their separate ways. They try to move on, they get past their hurt, they try to move on with their lives,” she adds.

Lawrence has shared a number of videos about her relationship, including some in which she speaks to the criticism she’s received from strangers on the Internet.

Other commenters, Lawrence adds on TikTok, have accused her husband of treating her poorly, arguing that she has “no self esteem.”

“It’s not like he had a child while we were together,” she says of that criticism. “Why can’t I trust him? I trust that man with my whole life.”

In anothervideo, Lawrence writes that the two went “years” with no contact after their divorce, until they eventually got back together.

Answering one of the most-asked questions she gets — “How did you two end up back together?” — Lawrence shares inanother videothat the pair “did not speak” following their divorce.

Her main focus during that time, she adds, was to “better myself for my future.”

“Turns out, all that time and effort I put into myself really helped our relationship and for us to get back together,” she says. “We were riding down the road one day, just randomly ended up next to each other at a red light, and he rolled down his window, said, ‘Hey, can we talk?’ "

She continues: “I said, ‘Sure.’ I didn’t know what it was about but it turns out he still had all his feelings for me. I still had all my feelings for him. And we just decided … the past is in the past. We know we don’t wanna be without each other, we can’t be without each other, so let’s do what we need to do to make this work. And that’s exactly what we’ve done.”
