Alix Earle Reveals How She's Supporting Braxton Berrios After His Injury: 'Happy to Be There for Him' (Exclusive)

Alix Earleis supporting boyfriendBraxton Berriosafter he suffered a season-ending injury.

After the 29-year-old Miami Dolphins wide receivertore his ACLduring a game with the Cincinnati Colts on Oct. 20, Earle tells PEOPLE she plans to fly back to Miami to be with him.

“He’s just always been so positive and such a good reinforcement in my life, so I’m happy to be able to be there for him,” she says. “I have no doubt he’ll come out on the other side even better.”

Despite the setback for Berrios, Earle says she’s still ready to support the Miami Dolphins as they face off against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day.

“It’s going to be a little controversial because half my family are Green Bay Packers fans,” she explains. “So I’m going to have to get them in some Dolphins gear, but I’m looking forward to it.”

Berrios initially shared the update about his injury onInstagramon Oct. 21, writing at the time that he was “heartbroken” that his season was over.

“The road ahead is measured in months and not days, but I find comfort in knowing I’ve been here before,” he wrote. “Initially all I want to do is play victim and question everything, but I know God and I know he makes no mistakes. After the dust settles the choice each day is going to be pretty straightforward- have this be a part of my story or have it be the end of my story.”

Earle revealed in aTikTokposted on Oct. 22 that she was in New York to support Jake Shane on his Therapuss Live Tour when she found out about Berrios' injury and cut her appearance short to fly back to Miami.

“I turned on the last quarter of the game and this probably one of the scariest things to happen because I just heard that Braxton got hurt,” she said in the TikTok. “I wasn’t supposed to go back to Miami for three weeks, but I canceled all my plans and booked a flight tonight. I honestly wasn’t doing well at this point.”

Earle also shared that she was able to make it back to Miami in time to take Berrios to his MRI appointment that morning. Though she noted in the caption that while his appointment “didn’t go as planned” she was “grateful” to be back with him.
