TheBachelorhost and his wife,Emely Fardo Palmer, welcomed their first child,Ella Reine, in 2024, just over two years aftertying the knotin an intimate Connecticut ceremony.

Shortly after Ella’s arrival, Jesse shared during a March 2024 appearance onThe Jennifer Hudson Showthat he was experiencing the full range of emotions parenthood brings.

“Every day’s a new day and I’m learning so much more,” he said. “She has been so chill, I’ve seen a whole new side I think of myself.”

When a photo popped up of the family of three during the segment, the ABC host said, “This is my world right here, it’s unbelievable. It’s a blessing.”

She was born in January 2024

“Our worlds have been forever changed… She’s finally here… ELLA REINE PALMER 💕 Our hearts are overflowing with love and gratitude,” the couple wrote in thecaption.

Ella weighed in at almost 9 lbs., “which in my family, is not uncommon,” Jesse said during his March 2024 appearance onThe Jennifer Hudson Show.

As the official host forThe Bachelorfranchise, Jesse was asked to leadThe Golden WeddingbetweenThe Golden Bachelorseason 1 leadGerry Turnerand his then-fiancéeTheresa Nist. Their televised nuptials took place on Jan. 4, 2024, around the same time Jesse was expecting his daughter‘s birth.

“On a personal note, I actuallywasn’t sure I was going to make it heretonight,” he said. “And that’s because my beautiful wife Emely is at home right now and we’re expecting the birth of our very first child at any moment.”

“So Emely, I know you’re at home watching: I love you so much, I miss you. Please call me if you feel anything. I will leave here immediately and I’ll leave everything in the capable hands of my friends,” he added, referring to his co-hosts,BachelorettealumCharity LawsonandGolden BachelorcontestantKathy Swarts.

Recalling the experience toE! Newsin February 2024, Jesse said he was prepared to flee at any second since he knew his wife’s labor “was coming at any moment.”

“I literally sprinted off set right to the airport, got on a plane and was home. And it was not long after that Ella came. Thank God I made it,” he said.

She is the first girl on the Palmer side in several generations

While revealing their pregnancy news to PEOPLE, Jesse shared that his daughter would be the first Palmer female to be born in several generations.

Jesse added that their impending bundle of joy had already stolen his heart.

“I know our daughter is going to walk all over me — she already has me wrapped around her finger!” the New York Giants alum said. “I’m a little nervous since I never grew up with girls in the house.”

She is a world traveler

At age 1, Ella’s passport has already racked up several stamps as Jesse and Emely enjoy traveling with their daughter.

The couple took her on a visit toMadridin October 2024 and toSt. BarthsandBrazilin December 2024. Jesse shared that his job also exposed his daughter to various corners of the world.

“WithThe Bachelorettefilming, we wereall over the worldand brought Ella everywhere we went,” he told PEOPLE in 2024.

She is learning Portuguese

Emely, who is from Brazil, speaks English and Portuguese, the latter of which Jesse has studied since meeting his wife. He even spoke half of hismarriage proposalin Emely’s first language while down on one knee in Champagne, France.

While appearing on a September 2023 episode of theBachelor Happy Hourpodcast before his daughter’s birth, he told co-hostsJoe Amabile and Serena Pittthat he and Emely would be raising their daughter to be bilingual.

She has her dad’s blessing to watch his season ofThe Bachelorand even star on the show one day — with one stipulation

Jesse, who was the lead ofTheBachelorin 2004, shared that he would be more than fine with his daughter one day seeing his run on the show.

As for if he would be OK with his daughter wanting to be on the show when she’s old enough, the protective father said he would consider it with one condition.

“I’ll have to be hosting the show though, of course, to really keep dad’s eye view on everything,” he said.
