The American Heart Association recently declared Charli’s hit “360” as well asBratdeluxe track “Spring Breakers” as the correct tempo for hands-only CPR — a.k.a. cardiopulmonary resuscitation without mouth-to-mouth breaths — as both songs feature 120 beats per minute.
However, one Charli fan stressed that they “better not get this confused with ‘365,'” a faster-paced rework of “360” that closes theBratalbum.
A few days after sharing the initial information, the American Heart Association took toInstagramonce again to post about “Spring Breakers” fitting the criteria for hands-only CPR. “We aren’t ready for brat summer to end! Thanks to@CharliXCXfor the vibe and for this lifesaving beat,” read the caption.
In the past, the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” has notably served as the go-to reference song for hands-only CPR. Recently, the American Heart Association named songs includingTaylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department,“Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please,” Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” andBeyoncé’s “Riiverdance” as suitable for the life-saving act.
Since its June 7 release, Charli’s sixth albumBrathas created a cultural movement that’s even made its way to U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign.
