Andy Cohen Apologizes for His Past Comments About Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag

Andy Cohenis apologizing toThe HillsalumniSpencer PrattandHeidi Montag.

Cohen issued an apology to the married couple during the Wednesday, Jan. 29 live episode ofSiriusXM’sAndy Cohen Live. During the broadcast, the Bravo mogul, 56, acknowledgedPratt’s recent remarksabout Cohen calling Montag, 38, “trash” in 2011. In Wednesday’s episode, he apologized and said his comment was “mean.”

On Saturday, Jan. 25, Pratt, 41, declined fans’ suggestions that Montag should joinThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

When one social media user asked if he and Montag would ever appear on Cohen’s talk show,Watch What Happens Live, Pratt replied in a differentpost: “the person who said he would rather scratch his eyes out then watch my wife … hard pass.”

Then another user said the pair would be “lucky” to be on the late-night show; however, Pratt quipped back once more.

“lol yah so lucky the guy that bashes my wife gonna be so lucky to sit with him. Rather sit in my burned house rubble,” hewrote, referencing howhe lost his homein the Los Angeles wildfires.

In September 2023, Montag addressed Cohen’s remarks and said that he was “so wrong” and that she “could easily go onOrange CountyorBeverly Hills.”

At the time, Cohen apologized and clarified, “[Montag and Pratt] are so identified, not only with another show but with another network.”

Meanwhile, during his Wednesday radio show, he referenced the previous 2023 comment, saying he “did apologize for this onAndy Cohen Liveseveral years ago.”

“I apologized, so what I will say also is that was mean,” Cohen said. “That was 14 years ago, and what I really don’t like about it is referring to her as trash.” Adding, “I don’t like that at all and I’m really sorry about that, so I apologize again, I guess.”

Meanwhile, Pratt toldTMZon Wednesday that Cohen’s apology won’t suffice until Cohen decides to “reach out privately.” Pratt also proposed that Cohen post a video dancing to Montag’s No. 1 hit song,“I’ll Do It.”

Montag’sSuperficialsingleresurged after the Palisades fire destroyed their home. Pratt had asked fans to streamSuperficialand help them raise money to rebuild their home.
