Angelina Jolie’skids have been watching some of her older films — and it’s helped her see them in a new light.
Speaking to FOX 5DC for her new movieMariaina clip shared on Instagram, Jolie was asked if she ever watches any of her old films. The actress responded that while she doesn’t love to watch them herself, her kids have started seeing some of her older films.
“I have started to, I haven’t watched them but some of my children will tell me they watched something [from] when I was younger and that will remind me of a time or I’ll understand how…because they know me now," Jolie says.
“Kind of what that was and who I was then. There’s something interesting about that.”

The actress is mom to six kids, whom she shares with ex Brad Pitt — Maddox, 23 Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
In a November interview withGood Morning America, Jolie sharedthat hersix childrenprefer to be behind the scenes andrevealed which of themis the most private.
“None of my children want to be in front of the camera [at] this time,” Jolie said in the Nov. 21 interview. “They’re quite private.”
“Shiloh’s extremely private,” she added, before further explaining, “They weren’t born with privacy, right? So, I hope that they can have that as they grow old. So we’ll see.”

Earlier in November, Jolie walked the red carpet at the Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles, Calif., bringing herteenage son Knox along with herin a rare red carpet appearance for the mother-son duo.
Jolie wore a long cream and gold dress, posing arm-in-arm with her son, who sported a shaved head and black suit, accessorizing with a black bow tie. The two smiled for the cameras as they walked the carpet before heading into the event.
