Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo to Perform at 2025 Oscars, Plus Doja Cat, Lisa of BLACKPINK and Raye

The wickedly talented duoAriana GrandeandCynthia Erivoare confirmed to perform live at the 2025Oscars.

On Monday, Feb. 24, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences confirmed that theWickedcostars will take the stage for a performance at the Academy Awards this Sunday, March 2.

“A spellbinding moment awaits,” the event organizers teased in asocial media post, promising a “performance you won’t forget.”

Other newly announced performers for the ceremony will beQueen Latifah, plus “three global superstars"Doja Cat,Lisa of BLACKPINK, and Raye for a “show-stopping celebration of cinema.”

“This year the Best Original Song category presentation will move away from live performances and will be focused on the songwriters,” read a letter sent to Academy members at the time. “We will celebrate their artistry through personal reflections from the teams who bring these songs to life. All of this, and more, will uncover the stories and inspiration behind this year’s nominees.”

Those nominees areEmilia Pérez’s“El Mal” and “Mi Camino,“The Six Triple Eight’s“The Journey,“Sing Sing’s“Like a Bird” andElton John: Never Too Late’s“Never Too Late.”

Wickedlanded 10 total Oscar nominations, including for Best Picture and acting recognition for both Erivo, 38, and Grande, 31.

When asked about reports that they’d sing live at the award show this year, both Grande and Erivo kept it coy and said they’d be open to the opportunity.

“Of course, we love singing with each other,” GrandetoldThe Hollywood Reporterin December. “I’ll sing together absolutely anywhere anytime, especially in celebration ofWicked, and I love her, that’s my sister. Say the word and we’ll be there.” Then in February, Erivo (who will host the Tony Awards in June) said with a smile toVariety, “Why does everyone keep saying that? I don’t know where this has come from. This feels like wishful thinking to me!”

While there were no original tunes inWickedeligible for the Oscars, Erivo has teased at least one new song she co-wrote for the sequel in theaters later this year,Wicked: For Good.

“I feel like the song is very, very special. I have a feeling that even the title will move you,” she toldVariety.
