In an interview withRolling Stonepublished on Monday, Jan. 13, the “Monaco” singer spoke briefly about working with Sandler, 58, on the upcoming comedyHappy Gilmore 2.

When asked if he vibed with theBilly Madisonstar, Bad Bunny, 30, said “Pshhh. That’s my uncle.Adam Sandleris my uncle.” He then showed the reporter his text message inbox which featured Sandler listed as “Tío Sandler.”

“He’s Tío Sandler. He’s super nice,” he added. It was announced in September that Bad Bunny would be joining the sequel to the 1996 comedy, as perThe Hollywood Reporter.

The rapper said they were very different projects. “But I enjoyed that — I like that they were so different. And I can’t wait for them to come out for people to say, ‘Whoa.’ I think with the projects coming up, I can focus more on only making movies.”

Elsewhere in his conversation withRolling Stone, Bad Bunny spoke about pursuing acting. “I’d do it,” he said. “I’m always going to make music, but I’d spend some time just making films and dedicating myself to acting.

“I think the way I worked it out, when those two movies get released — when people see them, they’ll say, ‘Wow, this guy is really acting.’ Because it’s two different movies, two different parts, two different people.”

Bad Bunny, who also starred in2022’sBullet Train, had previously teased more acting roles on the way.  ‘You could say that I have been investing a little bit more of myself in acting,” he toldVanity Fairin September 2023.

Happy Gilmore 2is slated to premiere in 2025 on Netflix.
