Benny Blanco Reveals the Surprisingly Early Time He and Selena Gomez Wake Up: 'Our Moment' (Exclusive)

They’re one of Hollywood’s busiest power couples, butBenny Blanco and Selena Gomezare intentional about their time together.

The music mega-producer — who’sfeatured in PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive issue— tells PEOPLE exclusively that it’s important for him and Gomez to ease into their day.

Though there are days hewouldlike to sleep in, Blanco, 36, says he’s still usually up before dawn.

“I get sleepy at nighttime. I’m like an old man. I want to go to bed early. I want to lay down. I want to be horizontal as quickly as possible throughout the day,” he quips. “I still wake up at 6 no matter what time [I go to bed]. I go to bed at 5:30 [a.m.] and I’m up at 6:15.'”

In the wide-ranging interview — during which Blanco sharedeight rules for being a sexy gentleman— the TikTok sensation underscored the importance of prioritizing your partner’s needs.

“I go all out for every date.We go all out foreach other. One time Sel was like, ‘Oh, I want to take you on a date.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s so sweet.’ Then we drove somewhere and she had rented out a whole botanical gardens for me,” he recalls.

And for Valentine’s Day, Blanco returned the favor when he prepped all of Gomez’s favorite foods, including homemade movie-theater nachos and fried pickles.

“It doesn’t mean spending your entire bank account. It means just being attentive: Listen to the things they like when you’re talking,” he says of making someone feel loved.

“I’m so happy. I met my best friend. I have a best friend that I also get to kiss. I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life,” he says. “I sound like a loser, but it’s amazing!”
