Black Mirroris returning for yet another mind-bending season.
Season 7 ofBlack Mirrorwill premiere in April 2025 — nearly two years afterthe release of season 6— and will feature six episodes starring notable actors, includingIssa Rae,Awkwafina,Rashida Jones,Emma CorrinandPaul Giamatti.
In August 2024, Brooker toldDeadlinethat season 7 has one of the “bleakest” episodes to date, though he didn’t reveal which one he was referring to.
“We’re doing some things we’ve not done before,” he said. “People can expect quite a lot of emotion and, hopefully, a good mix of chills. We did a couple of horror stories in Season 6, which we label as Red Mirror. But this time around, the episodes are all, in a way, like OGBlack Mirror.”

Black Mirrorseason 7 will premiere on Netflix on April 10, 2025.
In the meantime, viewers can streamseasons 1 through 6on the platform.
The upcoming season will include Brooker’s first-ever sequel episode — a follow-up to “USS Callister.” He toldThe Hollywood Reporterin May 2024 that it had been in the works for “several years.”
The episode first premiered during season 4 and featuredJesse Plemonsas a video game creator named Robert Daly who creates sentient digital clones of his co-workers using their DNA, making them bend at his will. However, when a new employee named Nanette Cole (Cristin Milioti) gets into the game, and she encourages the other employees to revolt against him.
Per Netflix, the new episodes will follow the events of “USS Callister,” where Daly was left unconscious and trapped in his own game after his employees escaped.
“Robert Daly is dead,” the release teased. “But for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning.”
Cristin Milioti,Billy Magnussen,Jimmi Simpson, Milanka Brooks and Osy Ikhile will return for the “USS Callister” sequel episode.
Black Mirrorseason 7 will have six episodes.
The seventh installment will once again tackle dystopian themes and the dangers related to artificial intelligence (AI), human consciousness and advancing technology.
“It’s a full emotional workout,” Brooker toldDeadline, teasing that some episodes might provoke tears.

Netflix released thefirst official trailerforBlack Mirrorseason 7 on March 13.
The nearly three-minute teaser features clips from each of the six episodes — opening with Milioti’s character gasping for air as she wakes up on the USS Callister.
Viewers then see O’Dowd and Jones place a flat, circular device on their temples. “They call it mind-expanding,” Capaldi’s character explains. “It alters your neural structure. The mind is a computer.”
The futuristic device appears to send them into a trance-like state as their consciousness enters a virtual reality plane.
The trailer pivots to Rae’s character, who enters an AI-generated black-and-white world and meets Corrin’s character, who appears to be from a time long gone.
In the remaining seconds, the teaser highlights an action-packed season with other-worldly tech, violence and heightened paranoia. It ends with Magnussen’s character stating, “I’m losing my mind.”
