Brad Pittinvited palGeorge Clooneyand theGQstaff to his French winery for a photoshoot amid his legal battle withAngelina Jolieover the property.

Pitt, 60, and Clooney, 63, reunite in theupcoming filmWolfs, and the costars open up about their longtime friendship in a newcover story forGQ’s September issue.

The interview and accompanying photoshoot was staged at Château Miraval, the sprawling villa property in Correns, France —where he and Jolie, 49, got married10 years ago in August 2014. The winery is the center of an ongoing legal battle between the exes after Jolie sold away her half in 2021. (They first purchased the property in 2011.)

According toGQ, Clooney and his wifeAmal Clooney, who have 7-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, bought a home not far from Château Miraval three years ago.

As theGQfeature describes,Clooney showed up to the interview in a black Mercedes convertible, and said, “Literally, I just drove from my house. I’ve been there for two years. I’ve never been here. It’s nine minutes!”

During the conversation, Pitt pointed to the vineyard and the property, perGQ, as he said, “I’m really just trying to enjoy the people that I love around me and just living. I don’t know how to not sound cheesy about it, but just the air is fresh and grass is green and I’ve just kind of become that guy a little bit.”

GQalso shared abehind-the-scenes videofrom the photoshoot, showing more of the expansive location.

As part of the legal actions connected to the winery, Pitt and his company Mondo Bongo have been accused ofturning Château Miraval “into their personal piggy bank.”

Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli Group that Jolie sold her 50 percent to, made that claim in a countersuit filed in May, alleging that Pitt “caused millions of its funds to be spent on projects that benefit him personally, including more than $1 million on renovations for a swimming pool that only he uses.”

At the time, a source familiar with the litigation said the claim that Pitt stole from the winery is “absurd,” adding that the actor “built Miraval, and his connection to it is a key reason for its success.”

Both Jolie and Pitt — whose divorce negotiations remain ongoing nearly eight years later — will be attending the upcoming Venice Film Festival in September. She stars in the Pablo Larraín dramaMaria, and Pitt’sWolfswill also be showcased at the festival.
