Brenda Song 'Needed a Second' to Prepare When HerRunning PointCostar Kate Hudson Introduced Her to Goldie Hawn on FaceTime

It was hard forBrenda Songto play it cool when she metGoldie Hawn.

Song was already excited to be working with Kate, 45, and said she remembers thinking before landing the part, “I could possibly work with Kate Hudson.”

Once they were filming the series — which sees Song play the chief of staff to Kate’s Isla Gordon, who is unexpectedly appointed head of her family’s business, running Los Angeles' NBA team — Song said she was still hit with a case of fangirling from time to time.

“Oliver, you don’t understand. Kate knows this, sometimes I’d be in a scene and I’d be like, ‘I’m doing a scene with Kate Hudson…. What is my life?'”

Things really turned up a notch for her, though, when she met Hawn, 79, during an impromptu moment on FaceTime with Kate.

Calling it “one of the craziest moments,” she recalled, “Kate was FaceTiming, and she was like, ‘Oh, wait … Mama, I want you to meet, Brenda, who plays my best friend [onRunning Point].’

“I was like — I needed a second before I get on a FaceTime with Goldie freaking Hahn,” Song said. “Don’t put me on the spot like this.”

Running Pointsees Kate’s character Isla take over “one of the most storied professional basketball franchises” after a “scandal forces her brother (Justin Theroux) to resign.”

“Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job,” reads the official synopsis.
