British sitcom star Brian Murphy has died. He was 92.

BBCconfirmed the news of his death on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Murphy died at his home in Kent on Sunday, Feb. 2, the outlet reported.

His wife, actress Linda Regan, said in a statement: “I was lucky to have in my lifetime found my soulmate, Brian, who I will love forever.”

She also paid tribute to her husband of nearly 30 years on X, sharing aphotoof them kissing as she wrote, “My love for you will never die. RIP sweetheart.”

PerThe Guardian, Murphy’s agent Thomas Bowington said the actor had recently discovered he had cancer in his spine and shoulders weeks before his death, which was “sudden.”

Bowington described Murphy as a “sprinkler of joy onstage, screen and in life” and someone who was “joyful, warm, kind and caring to everyone,” per the outlet.
