A bride is having fun reflecting on her old wedding photos — and realizing the images would make even the casual observer think she married her bridesmaid instead of the groom.
Even though it’s been more than six years since Lisa Evans married Alex Brown on March 16, 2018, atPriston Millin Bath, England, their wedding photos still raise eyebrows. Evans and her bridesmaid, Emma Savage, were so touchy in the pics that even the bride’s son was confused over who got married that day.
“I was looking back at the pics last week with my 5-year-old son, Jacob, who asked, ‘Did you marry Emma or Daddy?’ " Evans, now 35, tells PEOPLE. “And it made me laugh so much.”

“Omg! Good luck, babe!” the top comment with more than 55,500 likes reads. The phrase is a nod toChappell Roan’s hit song “Good Luck, Babe!” which wishes luck to a woman who is denying her homosexuality.
“Congratulations to you and ur wife 🥰😅,” someone else commented, with another person writing, “Who was the random guy standing in the back of the first picture 😅 I feel like He was intruding 😂.”
Luckily Brown, now 46, doesn’t mind the confusion.
“My husband thought it was hilarious (though the photos may say otherwise!),” Evans says.

“We vibed straight away — if there’s a friend version of love at first sight, that’s what I felt!” Evans says. “After that, we pretty much saw each other daily.”
She adds that “there has been much speculation” that her relationship with Savage is romantic.
“We are very touchy-feely people (especially when drunk), so that always raises eyebrows — especially on dance floors,” Evans says. “And, as I’m an author of sapphic books (my novel,Inside Her, has just become a bestseller onAmazon!) a lot of people online have assumed that me and Emma are an item. Maybe I should marry her; it would be very on-brand for me!”

Evans showed love to her six other bridesmaids too, as there aresimilar photosof her hugging and kissing them.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, Evans moved to Cardiff, Wales, so, she and Savage don’t see each other as often but they “still talk all the time.”
