Brittany Mahomeshas more to say to her critics.

Amid social media backlash against the 28-year-old Mahomes — which were sparked after she reportedly liked an Aug. 13 post from former presidentDonald Trump— the Kansas City Current owner shared a follow-up to herinitial message to haters.

In a repost on herInstagram Storieson Aug. 26, Mahomes shared another user’s post that read, “Contrary to the tone of the world today….you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind.”

Underneath the repost, Mahomes wrote, “Read that again!”

While she didn’t specify exactly what her message was addressing, the pointed Story comes just days after sharing a similar sentiment on Instagram.

The backlash stems from reports that Mahomes liked anAug. 13 Instagram postfrom Trump. Outlets includingNewsweekandThe New York Postboth reported on the apparent social media like, with multiple accounts on X (formerly Twitter)sharing screenshotsandscreen-recorded videoof Mahomes' Instagram handle appearing beneath Trump’s post.

The post in question is reportedly a “2024 GOP Platform” graphic that lists 20 of Trump’s apparent campaign talking points — including “keep men out of women’s sports,” “secure our elections,” and “deport pro-Hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic” — as he goes up against vice presidentKamala Harrisfor the presidency.
