Calif. High School Student, Dad Believed to Be Victims Killed on Board Plane When It Crashed into Warehouse

A California father and his teen daughter are believed to have been thetwo people killedon board a small plane that crashed into a warehouse.

The Fullerton Police Department said 19 people were injured while working in the building in the 2300 block of Raymer Ave in Fullerton, Calif. on Thursday, Jan. 2, when the plane crash occurred.

Eleven of the workers were taken to hospitals, while two other people died.

The two people killed in the crash were “believed to have been in the aircraft at the time of the crash,” police said.

The Huntington Beach High School girls’soccerandflag footballteams announced on social media that two people killed in the crash were Kelly Reid and her father Pascal.

They also said Pascal “was at every single game” and “always so proud of his daughter.”

“Kelly was a natural caregiver and always put others first,” the soccer team said in a statement on Facebook, adding that “she will be deeply missed.”

On Instagram, the flag football team honored Kelly before being “the most loving teammate, friend, and a truly remarkable person who touched the lives of so many with her kindness and warmth.”

“Kelly was one of the most passionate athletes who strived for nothing but success in everything she did,” the team said in its statement, noting that Kelly played and excelled at three sports.

“She was a leader both on and off the field, mentoring many, as well as leaving a stamp on everyone she touched,” the flag football team added.

Tim Olson, an aviation enthusiast, toldThe Orange County Registerthat he knew Pascal to be a “diligent” and “responsible” pilot and aircraft builder.

“It’s real sad to hear that it ended this way for him,” Olson said. “I know from talking back and forth that he did travel, camped out with his plane around the country a bunch.”

An investigation was opened following the crash.
