In a teaser clip for the new project, which highlights the connection between beauty, music and identity, per the outlet, Roan, 26, embraces a face free of makeup before dolling up with her signature drag-inspired glam.

The beginning of the clip shows the Grammy-nominated star without makeup on before transforming into her pop star persona with white face makeup, blue eyeshadow, silver star stickers, orange blush and red lipstick. Her recognizable ginger curls are also on display.
“Chappell is a version of myself that’s so bold and confident and hot,” Roan says in the trailer for the series, which debuts on Hulu on Jan. 22.
