Charli xcxdidn’t know she’d “unlock” a Grammy nomination.

In a cover story forW Magazinepublished on Thursday, Jan. 30, the alt-pop star (whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison) opened up about receiving eight nominations at the 2025Grammy Awards.

“Let’s be real, I wasn’t even on the Grammys’ radar last year, so it’s not something I ever expected," said Charli, 32. “The thing is, wherever I am becomes fun anyway, so I’m sure I’ll figure it out.”

She added: “I’m just a good time."

Charli noted that she was looking forward to just enjoying herself during the awards show.

“My dream scenario would be getting a plus-10 so I could bring all my best friends, but, realistically, I’ll probably get a plus-one,” she teased. “Maybe Troye [Sivan] and I can share and make it a plus-two.”

In the past, Charli received two Grammy nominations. This year, she’s up for album of the year, record of the year, best pop duo/group performance, best pop solo performance, best dance/electronic album, best dance pop recording, best recording package and best music video.

After Charli released her sixth studio album in June 2024, it ignited a cultural movement that’s even made its way to U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign.

“kamala IS brat,” she wrote onX (formerly Twitter)in July 2024, prompting Harris’s team to utilize theBrataesthetic for the campaign.
