Chris Pratt Is Still 'Very Close' with HisParks and RecCastmates, Says They Text 'Almost Every Day'

Chris Prattstill has a bond with his formerParks and Recreationcast members, exactly 10 years after the show’s end.

On the red carpet in Los Angeles for his upcoming filmThe Electric Slateon Tuesday night, Feb. 24,the actor reflected on how the smash-hit comedy show impacted his career for the better.Parks and Recreation,which focused on the antics of the staff inside the department at a small-town Indiana city hall, began in 2009 and released its final episode on Feb. 24, 2015.

Pratt, who played Andy Dwyer, shared that he regularly keeps in contact with hisParks and Recreation"family."

“I’m still very close and text with those guys almost every day,” Pratt, 45, said. “It was just Aziz’s birthday!”

Parks and Recreationcoming to an end was a complex moment in Pratt’s career, he added. He felt mixed emotions — bittersweetness and anticipation — about closing that chapter.

Pratt isn’t the onlyParks and Recreationalumnus missing the show. Adam Scott, who played Ben Wyatt, recently opened up on Josh Horowitz’sHappy Sad Confusedpodcast about the sitcom — and why hehasn’t watched an episode"in a long time."

“It makes me sad to see the show, because I miss them and I miss all the actors even though we’re constantly in touch and stuff, but I miss the time of making it,” he said. “It was a really just joyful five years — for me, seven years for the show — getting to go work there every day with that group of people."
