Cole Hauser's 3 Kids: All About Ryland, Colt and Steely Rose

Hauser and Daniel, who began dating in the 1990s and wed in 2006, have welcomed three children in their over 25 years together: sons Ryland and Colt and daughter Steely Rose.

“I am pretty good about compartmentalizing working and family. They are two of my biggest passions,” he explained. “I am not the kind of guy who forgets about them. I am always making time for each and every one of my children and also my wife, also, as a family together. I am good about making time for the whole family.”

He added, “You have to figure that balance out. But as a father and a husband you have to make the time and work just as hard at it.”

This balance came into practice while he was filming the fourth season ofYellowstoneon location during the COVID-19 pandemic. He told PEOPLE in November 2020 that hesaw that period as a lessonin “how important it is to take advantage of family.”

“It’s been a little rough over the last couple of years just because I’m away for five months at a time,” he said, explaining how his family copes when he is away from home. “It’s not easy to parent from afar. Steely is an absolute pistol, and they’re great boys. When I’m away they kind of take over, making sure that mom and Steely are watched over. That’s how I raised them and I’m proud of them for that.”

Ryland Hauser, 20

Hauser and Daniel welcomed their first child, son Ryland, on Sept. 20, 2004.

He attended his first three years of high school at Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California, before his family made thecross-country moveto Florida in the summer of 2022, ahead of his senior year of high school. Throughout high school, Ryland was a student-athlete who played football in several positions, including tight end, wide receiver and defensive end.

In May 2023, Ryland graduated from Jensen Beach High School, a feat Danielcelebrated on social media.

She wrote in part, “Moving cross country your junior year wasn’t easy, but you turned this challenge into a victory.”

At the beginning of his senior year of high school, Ryland hadseveral offersto play football at various colleges, including Warner University, Mississippi State University and the University of Northern Alabama.

Ultimately, Ryland decided to attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Hausershared the newson social media, writing how he was “so very proud” of Ryland for his accomplishment, adding, “Can’t wait to see your next chapter in your life.”

Ryland expressed gratitude to his parents at the time, commenting on his dad’s post with a sentimental message about his upbringing. In his comment, the teen thanked his parents for “creating me into the man I am today."

Ryland added: “You have done an amazing job raising me, showing anything is possible if I put my mind to it! Can’t wait to go chase my dreams and put words into reality!”

Ryland and his friends wanted to raise $250,000 in less than two months,Hauser explained. Danielshared on social mediaat the end of the fundraiser that Ryland and his friends were runners-up and raised just under $200,000 for the non-profit.

Colt Hauser, 16

In recent years, he hasappeared on the red carpetalongside his parents and younger sister, Steely Rose, at the New York City premiere of thefifth season ofYellowstone. Colt has also made several public appearances at sporting events with his parents, including a Golden State Warriors game wherehe posed on the courtwith Hauser, Daniel and Steely Rose.

Over the years, Hauser has shared a few special bonding moments with his younger son on Instagram. Colt and Ryland had the opportunity to race at The Thermal Club in California with their father, an experience the actor described as a “great day with my 2 boys.”

In the past, Colt has also enjoyed hisone-on-one timewith Hauser, including volunteering at Simi Valley VFW in April 2018, during which the actor cooked up several dozen steaks while his son helped serve them to veterans. Hauser also took his son on afly-fishing tripin October 2017.

Alongside his siblings and his parents, Colt enjoyed a March 2023 trip across Italy, which included “cruisin through Tuscany” on bikes with his family and atrip to the Colosseumin Rome.

Steely Rose Hauser, 12

Hauser and Daniel welcomed their third child and only daughter, Steely Rose, on Dec. 16, 2012.

In addition to attending the premiere ofYellowstone’s fifth season, Steely also spent time with her father on the set of the Paramount hit during filming. Hauser snapped several photos of his daughter on set, penning a touching note in an Instagram post thatread in part, “solo with the love of my life … you are the future my beautiful.”

It was not the first time Steely got to see her father in action. In September 2020, the Hauser familyquarantinedafter two months of waiting to visit Hauser on the set ofYellowstone. Steely was reunited with her dad,sharing a sweet momentwith Hauser as she and Daniel both gave the actor a kiss on the cheek.

Over the years, Hauser and Daniel have both spoken highly of their only daughter. On his Instagram, Hauser said Steely was “as beautiful as the sunset” alongside a photo of her posing on a boat with their dog at sunset.

Daniel has alsodescribed her daughteras a source of laughter for the family, writing in her 10th birthday tribute, “There’s never a dull moment when your around. Thanks for keeping us laughing.”

Steely’s parents have documented her various hobbies and activities, too, ranging fromhorseback ridingtoplaying basketball. In addition tocommandeering a boat, she has spent plenty oftime outdoorswith her father and learnedhow to ski.
