“Joyce was telling me that ketchup is her favorite so she wanted to incorporate that into the guest table,” Joy recalls to PEOPLE. “She was very much a bride who wanted to make her day unique to them which I absolutely LOVED.”
Joyce and Roy didn’t have a traditional ceremony, and instead exchanged vows privately before joining their guests during cocktail hour for appetizers and wine.

On the table were several nods to ketchup, including dipping trays that looked like Heinz tomato ketchup bottles, mini “tasty tomato ketchup” bottles containing a shot of limoncello and ceramic tomatoes with custom notes inside for each guest that were printed on mock ketchup labels.

“My jaw dropped and so did everyone else’s,” Joy says of her reaction to the decorations. “All the guests immediately took their phones out to take photos of the tablescape and setting! I had never seen anything tomato or ketchup themed so it was so cool to see it beautifully put together in a tasteful way.”
Hanging on each chair were custom tote bags that guests got to take their goodies home in.
For dessert, everyone enjoyed lemon and sage sorbet alongside millefoglie with chantilly cream and red fruits. The layered puff pastry is a go-to dessert for any Tuscan celebration.
“Free will is so interesting hahaha,” the top comment on the photographer’s TikTok video of the wedding reads. Other commenters said they now want a condiment-themed wedding, including a few votes for ranch, sriracha and honey mustard.
