Craig Conoveris hoping for a real-life meet cute following his split fromPaige DeSorbo.
During an appearance for a Galentine’s Day event atOcean Casino Resortin Atlantic City on Feb. 14, theSouthern Charmstar, 36, revealed how he realized that dating apps might not be for him after being in a relationship with DeSorbo for three years.
“I will say downloading Raya was my first step into admitting to myself that I was not in a relationship anymore,” he said. “I don’t think a dating app is for me. I think I’m gonna meet someone out in a bar or in life.”
“It’s just I want to meet you in person, so tonight would be great if I met someone, or in that kind of scene…” he added of meeting someone during a night out. “I’m sure dating apps are great. Just for me, I feel like I know if I like someone pretty quickly, or if there’s chemistry, and then you can have a drink at the bar and chat.”
The reality star explained that there is “no pressure” when meeting in real life, adding, “You don’t have to ask each other to dinner or something. So for me, I think activity dates or movement is good.”
Conover admitted that it’s different jumping back into the dating pool after a long-term relationship.
“I was very fortunate to be in an awesome relationship for three years, and I’m a different person now than I was when I started that,” he shared. “So I’ve never been single as this person, and I’m just trying to take my time and see what that feels like.”

Despite being ready to move forward, the Bravo star confessed that it is “scary” to be single again.
“I think you just have to keep a positive state of mind and believe in whatever you believe in, you know, the universe or God or whatever it is,” he said. “And I’m excited. I mean, I say that with, like, a pained face, but I am. I’m excited to see what the next chapter is.”
As for what Conover is looking for in his next partner, he says, “I just want someone to share life with. It was really awesome dating such a career-driven person — and I love that and I respected my ex so much for that.”

“But no, I think to travel with someone…will be so fun,” he added. “And so I don’t really know. I think I’m just gonna find the life that I enjoy living, and then hopefully someone walks into that. And I don’t think you can plan it. That’s the scary part. I don’t think you can plan it. I think you just gotta live.”
“So I’m okay having kids later in life now,” he added. “I think I have a lot of steps before that to figure out.”
