A British man who killed his ex-girlfriend and two of her relatives with a crossbow and knife will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Kyle Clifford, 26, was sentenced Tuesday, March 11 to a whole-life order after he was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, 25, her 28-year-old sister Hannah Hunt and her 61-year-old mother, Carol Hunt, theAssociated Pressreports.
During sentencing, Justice Joel Bennathan called Clifford “a jealous man soaked in self-pity, who holds women in utter contempt,” according toThe Guardian.
The former soldier was accused of killing the three women at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire in July 2024 and raping Louise, per AP.
Prosecutors said he planned the attack after Louise ended their 18-month relationship and began watching videos of self-styled misogynistic influencer Andrew Tate, per theGuardian.

The following day he was found injured in a cemetery in north London after shooting himself with the crossbow,APreported.
In a victim’s impact statement, racing commentator John Hunt, the husband of Carol and father of the two women, called Clifford, who didn’t show up for sentencing, “a psychopath who, for the duration of your time together with Louise, was able to disguise yourself as an ordinary human being,”BBCreported.
