Dakota Johnson Spotted Wearing Engagement Ring from Chris Martin Following Split Rumors

Dakota Johnsonis wearing her engagement ring following rumors she’d split from fiancéChris Martin.

TheCha Cha Real Smoothactress, 34 was spotted out with her friendsJeremy Allen Whiteand Blake Lee in Malibu, Calif.,on Friday, Aug. 16. Johnson wore an oversized tan coat and jeans for the outing, and also sported heremerald engagement ringon her left ring finger.

The ring sighting came after speculation that Johnson had broken up with theColdplayfrontman, 47. On the same day that the photos were taken, a rep for theMadame Webstar confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple is"happily together."

Martin and Johnson were last spotted together in June, when Johnson attended theGlastonbury Festivalto support the “Fix You” singer for Coldplay’s headlining set.

“They’ve had ups and downs, but now they’re definitely back on," a source told PEOPLE of the couple at the time, adding that they were “going strong.”

Martin and Johnson first began dating in 2017, three years after the musician and his ex-wifeGwyneth Paltrowsplit — or as they famously put it, “consciously uncoupled.”

TheFifty Shades of Greystar was first seen wearing the emerald ring on her left ring finger in December 2020. However, her engagement to Martin wasn’t confirmed until March 2024.

“[They] got engaged years ago, but were in no rush to get married,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE at the time.
