David Harbourand Lily Allen are going their separate ways.

On Feb. 3, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE thatHarbour and Allen have separatedafter four years of marriage.

After getting married, the two continued to attend red carpets together and spoke highly of each other during interviews.

“I’m so grateful that I’m not alone anymore, and that I have someone that I can tell everything to and who can tell me everything,“Harbour told PEOPLE about Allen in 2021. “We can share this experience of walking through life together. I’m always so overcome with gratitude for that because I’ve been alone for most of my life.”

Shortly after Harbour hostedSNL,Allen seemingly confirmed their relationshipwhen she shared photos from Harbour’sSNLsketch parodying a SoulCycle class, during which he wore a sleeveless shirt and showed off his muscular arms. In a zoomed-in photo of Harbour’s bicep, Allen captioned her image: “Mine.”

On Oct. 13, the two kept the appearances in the Big Apple coming asthey were photographed sharing a kissas they grabbed lunch together.

October 2020: Lily Allen says she wants kids with David Harbour

In an interview withThe Sunday Times, the British singer and mother of twoopened up about wanting to have kids with Harbourfollowing their wedding.

“I think so. Especially now Marnie’s getting so big,” Allen said when asked about expanding her family. “It’s like, ‘No, my babies!’ " However, Allen said she’s likely waiting a few years before she gets pregnant again. “I’m in a really good place. I don’t know if I’d mess with my hormones, at this particular point,” she said.

June 2, 2021: David Harbour says Lily Allen’s daughters inspired him to marry her

During an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live!, Harbour opened up how a conversation with Allen’s daughters when they were riding bikesled him to get married to Allen.

“The little one was riding along and she was going like, ‘David, dad, David, dad.’ Because the D got her confused,” he recalled to the host. “And the older one got very upset with that, which I understand. She was like, ‘He’s not our dad! He’s not our dad!’ "

Harbour continued: “And then younger one was like, ‘Well what is he? He’s kind of our dad.’ She’s like, ‘No he’s not, he’s our stepdad.’ And she goes, ‘What is he?’ And she goes, ‘He’s just some guy in our lives!’ "

The actor admitted that the conversation confirmed it was time for him to take the next step. “I was like, ‘I need to marry this woman,’ " Harbour joked. “Because the emotional fallout … "

July 2021: David Harbour says he’s “grateful” for Lily Allen

While speaking with PEOPLE in July 2021, Harbour opened up about howhe was so “grateful” to have Allen in his life. “I’m so grateful that I’m not alone anymore, and that I have someone that I can tell everything to and who can tell me everything,” he said. “We can share this experience of walking through life together. June 2022: David Harbour talks about falling for Lily Allen

In a new interview withGQ Hype, the actor talked about falling for Allen after meeting on a dating app. “I was in London alone, doingBlack Widow, on this app, going on dates and stuff. And yeah, I started texting with her,” the actor recalled.

“She was in Italy at the time – we got together, went on a date at the Wolseley [a restaurant in Mayfair], and it was, you know, she’s f—— unbelievable,” he continued.

He noted that while Allen says it was love at first sight for her, Harbour really fell for her on their third date. “I remember the exact moment. It was our third date,” he said. “I was just in this phase, where I was like, I’m just going to be brutally honest about everything, because why lie? And I told her something about my life, about my beliefs… It would take a really extraordinary person to be accepting of the things that I said. And I remember thinking: Wow, that’s somebody I want to be around.”

Allen and Harbour are going strong two years after tying the knot in Vegas.

In the couple’s interview withAD, Allen describes their home as “weird and wonderful.”

To which Harbour said, “Lily is someone who lives with color in a deeper way than most. Her taste is bold, silly, fun, eccentric—it’s exciting. She has such presence and star quality, you just can’t picture her living somewhere boring and conventional.”

Meanwhile, the couple’s two daughters call the colorful and eclectic brownstone “the clown house.”

“But they say it in the most loving way,” Allen added.

Allen started anOnlyFans accountto sell photos of her feet. She later told herMiss Me?podcast listeners that Harbour fully supports her new business venture.

“He thinks it’s great,” Allen said, adding, “It ends in the same place that it starts — it’s only feet. I’ve got very strict guidelines.”

February 3, 2025: Sources confirm Lily Allen and David Harbour are separated

News broke in February 2025 that Allen and Harbour were going their separate ways, with a source telling PEOPLE, “Her marriage has been crumbling and they have split.”

One day later, an insider told PEOPLE, “She’s devastatedand not in a good place,” and that the breakup had been “very hard for her and her girls.”

The insider added, “It’s been a bad start to the new year, but Lily is tough. She’s very good at prioritizing herself when she has to.”
