DDG Claims He's 'Been Fighting' to See 14-Month-Old Son Halo and Feels Like a 'Nanny': 'Not Fair'

Shortly after deleting his X post on Friday, March 7, DDG reportedly went on a livestream and spoke about the situation more, per TMZ.

“I really feel like I’m a f—— nanny at this point," he said. “The nanny has been able to have my son more than me. And I don’t even know the nanny name,” he claimed. “Like, it’s just not fair bro. So I have to come on here and I gotta do this s—.”

PEOPLE reached out to representatives for DDG and Bailey, but did not receive a response.

In a statement shared to hisInstagram Storieson Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, the rapper, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., broke the news that he and Bailey split.

“Dear friends and supporters, after much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote. “The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared.”

“Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other,” he continued.

DDG said that moving forward, he andThe Little Mermaidstar will “focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents,” as they “cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.” He then asked fans for “understanding and support” as they “navigate this transition.”

The two were recently pictured together to celebrate Halo’s first birthday. Bailey shared aseries of snaps on Instagramthat included a few cute family photos.

“Happy birthday to my halo 🥹God gave me the greatest gift in you 💕,” the proud mom shared in her caption. “Time flies when you’re having fun & mommy just can’t believe that you’re one 🎉🎉🎉🎉🥹🥹🥹🥹.”

In her post, Bailey shared a few pictures from Halo’sCocomelon-themed birthday party, which included a bounce house, ball pit and an adorable cake featuring the popular YouTube channel’s logo.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY HALO!!!!!!” DDG wrote over the video, adding, “HE GREW UP OVERNIGHT.”
