When it comes to the style game,DeAndre Hopkinswins.

Just days away from his team’s chance to secure the first-ever Super Bowl “three-peat” in NFL history on Feb. 9, Hopkins tells PEOPLE exclusively about bringing his effortlessly cool looks to a 60-piece capsule collection through his latest partnership withBoohooMAN.

“I try to base everything off that,” Hopkins explains of his mindset when piecing together a game-day look, adding that he picks out his tunnel walk outfits “the day before” the game. “I know myself, I know I got style and just trust it.”

“Oh, for sure, for sure it is. Yeah. It’s a quiet competition,” Hopkins says of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates sizing up each other’s outfits pre-pad and jersey. “Guys are definitely like, ‘OK, I see you’!”

“He’s not scared to wear whatever. Him and I are very similar,” Hopkins says. “He’s going to wear whatever he feels and that’s just who he is. I say JuJu because it’s not just on game day. He’s like that every time you see the guy, he has something cool on or something unique.”

No, the Chiefs don’t have a “group chat” to discuss their outfits before showing up on game day — however, some of the players do poke around for ‘fit details when they’re together in another unified location.

“Sometimes you’ll hear guys in the locker room kind of, like, hinting, saying what they’re going to wear just to see if someone else says something or say they’re wearing something similar, which is kind of funny,” Hopkins reveals. “It’s a little chatter before that week or the day before [a game].

Betweendesigner-donning playerslikeSmith-Schusterand tight endTravis Kelce, for example, Hopkins — who’s no stranger to luxury labels himself — was intent on his BoohooMAN line to be “affordable,” offering pieces that are “wearable for everyone” yet still has that premium, luxury feel.

“I can go wear something crazy expensive, but I also have my pieces that are affordable and put it together to make it look good,” Hopkins says. “So I wanted it to be something that everyone had access to.”

The capsule (which retails for under $60) features matching ensembles, elevated trousers and outerwear that’s appropriate for all occasions that range from casual daytime attire to sophisticated evening looks.

Transitional versatility is also at the forefront of the 60-piece collection, making the items — which include textured fabrics, combining knitted and jersey materials — perfect for the seasonal shift into warmer months, while still giving off that elevated clean vibe.

The capsule also gives off a vibe of champions, which is why Hopkins has an eye on his collection for his Super Bowl ‘fit. “I like this collection a lot, so I’m leaning towards this collection right now,” he teases of what he’ll sport for his tunnel walk in New Orleans on Feb. 9.

“It’s the moments of all moments and I would say I’m going for something that balances the moment,” he says, humbly. “I don’t want to do too much, so I’m looking for something to balance the moment… we shall see.”
