Disney World Announces 2 New Lounges That Will Serve Alcohol — Including aPirates of the CaribbeanTavern

Ahoy! Two new lounge areas are coming to Disney World.
On Saturday, August 10, Disney announced a new Spaceship Earth lounge and shared new details on the already-announcedPirates of the Caribbeantavern coming to the Florida theme park. The plans and renderings were revealed during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at theD23 fan expo.
Both new eateries — set to open in 2025 — will serve alcoholic beverages, PEOPLE confirms.
“At Disney Experiences, Imagineers dream, create, design and build these stories into real places. And we have Imagineers in place right now all around the world because everything we’re going to share with you is in active development,” said Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro. “Plans are drawn. Dirt is moving. I just want to be clear about this: We are doing everything you’re going to hear tonight.”

The elegant space will be decorated with “rich textures” and “warm metallic tones” that pay homage to the look of the ride-attraction.

In a drawing of the space, there is a large anchor-shaped fixture on the ceiling adorned with candles. The woodsy space is decorated with red drapery and pirate motifs, including swords and pieces of treasure.
