A separate Palm Beach source tells PEOPLE that Anderson, 38, who grew up in the area and attended Columbia University in New York City, devotes much of her time to raising money and awareness for causes like mental health, conservation and child literacy.

“She’s a third-generation Palm Beach native with long ties to the philanthropic community,” the source says.

Trump’s ex-fiancée and ex-wife both attended some of the same inaugural events as Anderson in January, though no drama occurred, according to a source who was present.

“Kim saw Don with Bettina and it was all civil. No negativity," the inauguration source previously told PEOPLE. “She should be ambassador to Greece soon which is important to the administration, and she will be away a lot of the time.”

“Kim is still very fond of Don, and kept a watchful eye out," that source added. “She knows how beautiful and well dressed Bettina is, and there is no question that she was hurt when her romance with Don ended.”
