In acover story interview withBillboard U.K.on Monday, Dec. 16 fortheir Global No. 1s series, the “Houdini” musician, 29, discussed her reaction to not getting a Grammy nomination for her 2024 albumRadical Optimismafter earning10 nominations over the years, as well asa win for best new artistin 2019.

“I’m so proud ofRadical Optimismand where it’s brought me," she told the publication. “I love that album and I’m having the time of my life performing it live, and I’ve been able to do things that I thought I could only dream of this year, so I’m really grateful.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the “New Rules” hitmaker revealed that makingFuture Nostalgiaallowed her to “grow as an artist” and “have the confidence” to make her latest album.

“It gave me the freedom and confidence to be like, ‘You know who I really want to make an album with? Kevin Parker [Tame Impala]. And I want to do something a bit different; I want to work with Danny L Harle and experiment with my sound, do a different vocal performance and make pop music but allow that to live in another sonic world,'” Lipa explained.

For her, “it’s been fun to shape-shift.”

In September, Lipa unveiled several 2025 dates for herRadical Optimism Tour, which is set to span more than 40 shows throughout Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe and the United Kingdom.

“RADICAL OPTIMISM TOUR 2025 !! THEY SAID THEY ‘MISS 2022 DUA,'” she wrote onsocial mediaalongside the announcement, seemingly referencing her massive 2022’s Future Nostalgia Tour.

The North American leg of the Radical Optimism Tour begins at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Sept. 1, 2025. Lipa will then perform shows in Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, New York City, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco before wrapping on Oct. 16, 2025, at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

She continued: “WELL I’LL BE HAULING ASS FOR THE FORESEEABLE AND I CAN’T WAIT TO BRING THIS SHOW TO YOU.”
