Elle Fanning Waves to Mom During Red Carpet Interview in Sweet Shoutout as She Attends Her First Oscars

Elle Fanning’s mom is her biggest fan!

While chatting with E! News on the red carpet, Fanning took a brief moment to wave to her mom, whom she said was tuned into the live broadcast.

“I heard your mama watches us,Live at E! at the Oscars,” correspondent Zuri Hall asked the actress during an interview. “Is she watching right now?”

“Yeah, she is,” Fanning replied as she and Hall waved at the camera. “My mom and my grandmother, my aunt, my cousin.”

Her mom even supported her while she was getting glammed up. TheMaleficentactress, wearing a white Givenchy gown with lace details and a bold black bow, confirmed to Hall that her mom helped her get ready for the starry evening.

Earlier in the interview, Fanning opened up about attending her first Oscars Awards.

“It’s my first time here, so I’m taking it all in,” she said excitedly. “I’m so excited to also get to be here withA Complete Unknownand get to celebrate everyone, and get to present. I did my practice yesterday. I practiced in my shoes.”

The movie received nods for Best Picture, Best Actor for Chalamet, Best Supporting Actress for Barbaro, Best Supporting Actor for Norton, Best Director for James Mangold, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design and Best Sound.

This year’s award season has already been a family affair for the Fanning family. In January, Elle’s sister Dakota Fanning, 30,brought their grandmotherto the82nd annual Golden Globeswhere she posed with both actresses.

“Only pic I need,” Dakota captioned a photo of her and her grandmother at the awards show onInstagram. “My Gaba and me.”

In a red carpet interview on E! at the time, Elle said that she, her sister and their grandmotherall prepared for the nighttogether.

“We got ready together — all in the same room,” the actress shared. “Our grandmother is here tonight as Dakota’s date.”
