Emily Osment Settles Divorce from Jack Anthony After 5 Months of Marriage

Emily OsmentandJack Anthonyhave settled their divorce, just days after Osment filed.

“I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE last week. “Ultimately, it didn’t work out.”

TheYoung Sheldonstar and Anthony married on Oct. 12, 2024, following their June 2023 engagement. Court documents show Osment listed their date of separation as Dec. 7, 2024.

Osment and Anthony, who do not share any children, had a prenup in place.

Ahead of their wedding, theYoung & Hungrystarspoke exclusively to PEOPLEabout her excitement for the upcoming ceremony.

“I cannot wait to be married,” Osment said in a May 2024 interview. “I wish we could just jump to that.”

“It’s so exciting, and we have to constantly remind ourselves, you’re only going to do this once,” she continued. “So you might look at 1000 pictures of what looks like the exact same chair, and your wedding planner will say, ‘What kind of chairs do you want?’ And I’ll say, ‘Yes, there should be chairs there.' And she’ll say, ‘No, but what kind of chairs?’ And I’ll say, ‘I don’t care. There should just be chairs.’ It’s a little bit like that.”

While discussing the “very small [wedding] decisions that don’t seem to matter,” Osment added, “at the end of the day, you get to be married, and that’s the greatest thing ever.”

Osment and Anthonygot engagedduring a trip to Yosemite National Park in California.

“I did not know life could be this sweet or I could ever be this deliriously happy,” she said of the proposal in a since-deleted Instagram post. “I am so proud of the life we have built together and the people we have become over the last few years.”

Days after the pair were married, Osment toldGayle Kingduring an interview withCBS Mornings, “It’s great so far.”

“These past four days have been glorious,” she said during the Oct. 16, 2024 interview.

Osment’s attorney did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
