Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Have Sweet Reunion at 2025 Golden Globes

As for her reunion with Garfield, the pair met as costars on the set of 2012’sThe Amazing Spider-Manfor the roles of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Theydated for four yearsuntil 2015.

Between filming and promoting the releases ofThe Amazing Spider-Manand 2014’sThe Amazing Spider-Man 2, the two grew closer — often talking about one another in interviews.

“It’s like a dream to work with him. He’s obviously one of the greatest actors I think we have alive today and he’s also just a remarkable human being,“Stone saidduring a 2014 interview on ABC News. “I love him very much.”

They’ve remained friendly in the years since they split, with Garfield even giving Stone a standing ovation when she won her first Golden Globe in 2017.

Years after their breakup, while speaking of theBirdmanactress in a 2017Vanity Fairinterview, Garfield said: “There’s so much love between us and so much respect.I’m her biggest fan as an artist.”

He also said in a 2021 interview withVarietythat working on 2012’sThe Amazing Spider-Manfilms was “beautiful” because he “got to meet Emma [Stone] and work with her,” as well asSally Field.
